Who We Are!

Iamsafe is committed to reducing the incidents and impact of bullying in Canada.

We do this in several ways:

  • This youth-built and maintained website
  • Operating and managing national youth lead anti-bullying campaigns
  • Distributing a free monthly e-mail newsletter to over 2,000 subscribers around the world
  • Organizing seminars, training courses and conferences
  • Providing professionals with comprehensive anti-bullying tool kits
  • Distributing copies of our three acclaimed anti-bullying scripts for children and youth
  • Promotion of best practices, school ethos and character education resources


    • IAMSAFE Programs

    In 2002, IAMSAFE coordinated Canada's first national conference on bullying ("Fear & Loathing" in Canadian school yards). The conference brought 500 delegates to Ottawa from across Canada. Three years later in 2005, we coordinated the second national conference on bullying ("Beyond Rhetoric") and again, this was a resounding success with presenters from every part of the globe.

    We also coordinate youth conferences relating to bullying; write and promote productions like 'You're Not the Boss of Me', a play about bullying which has been featured in various parts of Canada; and we were the driving force in the development of the Ottawa Anti Bullying Coalition (OABC).
